Now I had a bit more time to work on these ones than before soooo I had some fun with a brush tip.
A random lineup of noseless little blob people such as lady knight, construction worker kid, snake man, and an unimpressed little me!
Guess who was creeping hard at the mall again!
It was me.
It’s the near-perfect place to creep as long as you get a good vantage point where you can see far and wide, as well as preferably slightly higher than eye level so you don’t make that awkward eye-touch with someone. Some of these I just drew for fun, as well as cramming a couple of my own mini-heads in there.
Life studies, oh boy! Drawing from life is something that every artist should do regularly, its one of the best ways to increase your skills and understanding of drawing as it makes you pay attention to the worlds details. With that said, maaaaaan is it difficult sometimes! It’s like exercise, it’s hard to start and might not be very fun, but once you’re doing it you feel better and the end result is always worth it.
This is *pretty* much all black ballpoint pen, though two of these drawings have some pencil shading in them.
Some, ah, not so kid friendly drawings that my sister had requested. I’m not one to turn down a challenge, even if it is peculiar. Mostly hilarious though. I swear that she is funnier than me most of the time, I’m the one who can draw the crazy stuff.
All done with some liiiight pencil then with itty bitty ink pen and greyscale markers. Currently my favorite drawing method!
Look at all these interesting folks! All these people were at the big mall next to the place I just moved into, food courts are one of the best places to sit and draw. I had a challenge of a very limited selection of pencil crayon colors that I had limited myself to which results in some of these unwitting models looking really cold. All of these were colored with pencil crayons and a mix of dark pencil and thin markers to outline. Also apologies if you can’t read what they’re saying, my writing is a wee bit atrocious.
All done, I graduated!! *loud applause* So this here is a culmination of all the animation work I’ve done at ACAD as well as some of my own personal work. Most of it is done in ToonBoom, although some in this are done traditionally and others have Photoshop coloring over top. I am still in the process of moving and dealing with all sorts of grown-up stuff so if there are some videos you see in this showreel that aren’t up on my site, they will be!
